After studying law and specifically tax law, and further training in Japanese, Peter De Bie started working as a real estate broker at St Quintin Brussels in 1990. He led the Brussels office of Mueller International Properties Agent, the largest German broker. As head of investment for Belgium, he oversaw German real estate funds and, as an exclusive advisor at Hanseatische Investment Gruppe GmbH Hamburg since 2000, investments at European level.

Peter was at the forefront of the Retail Estates IPO with Banque Indosuez KBC and Carpetland Group, and was responsible for the first two capital increases for Retail Estates.

With his solid experience and network in family real estate, Peter is a strong asset to the real estate divisions of Buysse & Partners since 2017. As an Investment Director, he co-manages the Iconic and Residential Real Estate divisions, Smart Assets and Smart Living.
