Johan Buyle obtained a master’s degree in applied Economic Sciences at the University of Antwerp and has over 30 years of experience in a diverse range of finance and private equity field.

Johan started his career in retail and corporate banking at Generale Bank/Fortis Bank. As his career developed, he became more involved in transactional operations as a senior manager Acquisition Finance at Fortis Bank and later on as an Investment Manager at AlpInvest/Taros Capital and at Fortis Private Equity.

As of 2008 Johan acted as an independent advisor and has been involved in various projects for family-owned businesses, investors and corporate finance boutique firms.

In 2012, Johan joined Buysse & Partners to strengthen the private equity team. Johan is chairman of the board at Portofino Group (Vanhaverbeke/Raamwinkel), Balak and Construct Materials Group. He also acts as board member at Copus Group (Vivaldis) and Serax.
