Since the founding of Buysse & Partners in 2008, we successfully focused on profitable Belgian small and medium-sized enterprises with growth potential.
SMEs are the beating heart of the Belgian economy. However, even the most successful SMEs face challenges such as sector consolidation, increasing internationalization, and succession issues. At Buysse & Partners, we see great opportunities in these challenges.
Even though we focus on SMEs, we are sector agnostic. We always ensure, however, that we have an affinity with the sector we invest in. By doing so, we can create value by contributing our operational expertise and know-how.
Within Belgian SMEs we target companies with:
- an enterprise value between €10 mio - €150 mio
- an EBITDA between €2 mio - €15 mio
- preferably, a possibility of a majority/control position

We invest in quality companies that are ready for their next growth phase. Our starting point is that returns must come from sustainable growth and operational efficiency in combination with financing.
Central to our value creation approach is our involvement: we aim for a partnership with direct lines to the CEOs and management teams of portfolio companies, whom we actively support with our strategic guidance and operational knowledge.
Our complementary network of entrepreneurs, investors, CEOs and management teams of our portfolio companies, our advisors and our own team ensures an exchange of knowledge and experience that benefits our portfolio companies.
In addition, the capital we work with comes from family investors, who often have an entrepreneurial background themselves. Together we form a unique team and understand the SME landscape like no one else.

Our team is the driving force behind our success. The private equity team consists of professionals with expertise in strategy, consulting, M&A and operations. Together they display all the core competencies required within the entire investment and value creation cycle.
We use this expertise to guide and support our portfolio companies.
