Buysse & Partners launches residential real estate fund.

Buysse & Partners is setting up a fund for the purchase and rental of apartments, mainly in the Brussels periphery and its home base in Antwerp. Buysse & Partners Smart Living focuses on international institutional investors who are looking at the Belgian market. In the meantime, the first two purchases have been made in Anderlecht and Molenbeek. The ambition is to purchase and rent 1,000 units within a period of three years. 

"With Buysse & Partners Smart Living, we aim to have a portfolio of around 1,000 apartments with a value of approximately 200 million euros within three years,’ says Guy Mertens, partner at Buysse & Partners. ‘Our reach is focused on the suburban areas around Brussels and Antwerp. Our first two purchases are already a reality: Clos d'Elsa in Anderlecht and Célidée in Molenbeek. We are one of the only Belgian institutional investors investing in existing Belgian homes. Some developers are also active with housing funds, but they mainly buy new construction projects that they may or may not have developed themselves."
